How this tool works

UTM CGPA Calculator

Estimate a cumulative GPA from UTM-style course grades and weights entered into the calculator.

Formula or calculation logic

Use a weighted average: Ξ£(grade point Γ— course weight) Γ· Ξ£(course weight) for the courses that count toward GPA.

Worked example

A 0.5-credit course at 4.0 and two 0.5-credit courses at 3.7 and 3.0 give (2.0 + 1.85 + 1.5) Γ· 1.5 β‰ˆ 3.57.
