How this tool works

GPA Calculator

Calculate a weighted GPA from course grades and credit hours.

Formula or calculation logic

GPA = total quality points Γ· total GPA-bearing credits, where quality points for a course equal grade point Γ— course credits.

Worked example

For 3 credits at 4.0, 4 credits at 3.0 and 2 credits at 3.5: quality points are 12 + 12 + 7 = 31. Divide 31 by 9 credits to get about 3.44.

Use it in a few steps

  1. 1Enter only the grades, marks or grade points requested by the calculator.
  2. 2Add the matching course credits or weights when the tool asks for them.
  3. 3Run the calculation and review the result together with the formula shown below.
  4. 4Before using the number on an official form, compare it with your institution’s current grading policy.

Important limitation

The result is an estimate unless the grade-point mapping and course rules match your institution. Pass/fail, withdrawals, repeats and transfer credits can be handled differently.

Frequently asked questions

Is this result official?

No. Kabarilal CGPA provides independent educational calculators. An official transcript, university portal or awarding body remains the authoritative source.

Why can my result differ from my transcript?

Institutions may handle repeats, failed courses, pass/fail subjects, transfer credits, optional subjects and rounding differently. Those rules can change a final GPA or CGPA.

Can I use this for planning?

Yes. It is useful for quick estimates and what-if calculations as long as the inputs and grading scale match the rules you are trying to model.
