Why can my result differ from my transcript?
Institutions may handle repeats, failed courses, pass/fail subjects, transfer credits, optional subjects and rounding differently. Those rules can change a final GPA or CGPA.
Can I use this for planning?
Yes. It is useful for quick estimates and what-if calculations as long as the inputs and grading scale match the rules you are trying to model.
